Description: This exceptional folder is the work of Mastersmith Jason Tiensvold. This is the first liner lock that he has created since receiving his MS stamp in June 2004.
The heat blued bolster and blade differentially heat treated such that the color gold tones to deep purples. Pure nickel lines shine out of the darkened steel. A yellow citrine thumb stud highlights the gold tones in the steel. The bolsters are dovetailed to the exhibition grade whitelip mother of pearl scales. The scales have tremendous full spectrum flash and an underlying swirling texture. The liners are 15N20 carbon steel and have been heat colored and file decorated. The backbar is 1084 carbon steel and has also been fileworked, textured and heat colored to a golden hue. The screws have been fully fileworked. Exceptional fit and finish throughout with a perfectly centered blade and exceptionally smooth action.
