Description: Journeyman Smith Jim Arbuckle created this exceptional stainless steel hunter. If you are looking for a hunting knife which is as enjoyable to use as it is to look at, this hunter by Jim Arbuckle is what you are looking for.
The 154CM stainless steel blade is razor sharp and will have excellent edge holding. It is hardened and double tempered to 59-60 Hrc. A convex grind results in strength and durability. The blade has a distal taper and the spine has the edges slightly rounded to make it more user friendly. A hand rubbed satin finish lends an heirloom quality.
The handle is formed from leopardwood (Roupala montana). The mid toned wood as conspicuous flecking that gives this wood its namesake, resembling the spots of a leopard. This dense wood ensures the knife will hold up well to the demands of being used outdoors. The grips have been contoured to fit the hand and all edges have been rounded to ensure maximum comfort during use. It features a Lazy "Z" filework between the grips which has been filed with black epoxy and polished. This gives the beauty of filework without the hassle of cleaning out debris. It features a deep finger cutout which allows you to hold the knife securely using several different grips including a pinch grip.
The knife is accompanied by a hand stitched leather sheath. Excellent work throughout!
