Description: This hunter was made by Bill Ellis of Fresno, CA. It has been in a private collection and is in new condition. By all appearances, it could have been made yesterday.
The blade and full tang are made from ATS-34 stainless steel. They were hardened to Hrc 59-60 for a keen, long lasting edge. The blade is hollow ground to make re-sharpening a breeze.
Stabilized spalted maple scales are set on a full tang for strength and durability. By creating a distal tapered tang, Ellis ensured a perfect sense of balance. 416 stainless steel bolsters are dovetailed to the wood for a great fit.
This hunter is accompanied by a hand stitched pouch style leather sheath.
