Description: Australian born knifemaker Glenn Waters spent much of his adult life in Japan. His unique style combines Japanese and European aesthetics to create dramatic masterworks.
This Flipping Tanto combines a premium S35VN powdered metallurgical (PM) stainless steel blade with an anodized and textured titanium frame. S35VN has tremendous wear resistance coupled with high corrosion resistance and ensures a superior, high performing edge. The satin finished blade features an armor piercing tip. It is textured near the cutting edge and features laser engraved butterflies on each side. It rides on ceramic bearings and is easily opened using the flipper mechanism.
At 4.2 oz, the Flipping Tanto is light weight and fast. The anodized titanium frame surrounds a laser engraved titanium partial backstrap. Carbon fiber is meticulously inlaid into the frame. A silver butterfly is set on the carbon fiber. The sturdy titanium lock has an adjustable face lock for if the lock face ever wears. The titanium pocket clip is mounted for right-handed, tip-up carry. Laser engraved butterflies are set throughout the back frame and pocket clip.
Exceptional work throughout!
