Description: Seattle native Jeff Driscoll's knives are unique, dramatic creations. A plumber by day and knifemaker by night, Jeff loves using the fixed blade knife as his art canvas. Neopolitan brings in a blend of colors and exotic materials into this one-of-a-kind fixed blade.
The drop point blade was forged from carbon steels by renowned knifemaker Johan Gustafsson in Sweden. The elegant pattern grabs attention from a distance and holds onto it upon closer examination. The spine of the knife was hand fileworked by Jeff. The flat ground blade will be tough and chip resistant.
The handle is formed from a central column of osage orange (Maclura pomifera) wood. Stacked spacers made from bloodwood (Brosimum rubescen), wenge (Millettia laurentii), and malachite stone alternate throughout the handle. Brass spacers assist the materials adjust to humidity and temperature changes. Sections of crosscut ancient mammoth ivory form the bolster and end cap. The thin profiled handle will make this knife easy to daily carry.
To keep the knife safe during transportation, a sheath made by Driscoll is included. It combines the same materials used throughout the handle. A single seam leather throat has a belt loop so the knife can be easily carried.
Nice throughout!
