Description: This beautiful fighter was created by Bob Crowder of Thompson Falls, Montana. Bob sold his first knife back in 1985 and is currently serving as President of the Montana Knifemakers Association.
The blade is formed from hollow ground ATS-34 stainless steel and features a high mirror polish. ATS-34 provides superior rust resistance while retaining excellent edge retention. The distal tapered spine and tang provide excellent balance in hand. A long swedge travels approximately 2/3 up the blade.
Beautiful mother of pearl scales are perfectly dovetailed to Seymchan meteorite bolsters. The highly polished mother of pearl scales show plenty of chatoyance. The Seymchan meteorite was discovered in in 1967 in the city of Seymchan in East Russia. Iron meteorites like this are very rare and believed to originate in the cores of asteroids. The meteorite radio carbon dates to over 4 billion years old. The bold, distinctive pattern known as the Widmanstatten pattern is one of the richest and most distinctive patterns found in meteorites. The Seymchan meteorite is considered a stable and somewhat rust-resistant pallasite meteorite. A finger choil provides a perfect rest for precise cutting tasks while the guard and handle provide an array of various comfortable grip options.
To keep the knife close at hand, Bob included a custom fitted leather sheath.
