Description: This exceptional fighter really shows off Fred Ott's skill as a knifemaker. From the perfect balance of the knife to the intricate hand carving of the handle, this fighter is sure to stand out in your collection!
The blade was forged to shape from Fred's own damascus, beginning with 1095 and 15N20 carbon steels. His choice of steels ensures a keen, long lasting edge. The twist pattern damascus is immediately captivating. A long recurve makes this an aggressive cutter
The handle is made from heavily sculpted oosic that is reminiscent of an arthropod's shell. The handle is extremely comfortable and fits perfectly in the hand. Both the oval guard and buttcap are formed from nickel silver. An antiqued, pierced nickel silver ferrule adds decoration and is perfectly fit to the guard. A textured, antiqued copper seppa (spacer) brings in warm tones. Showing tremendous craftsmanship, Fred has designed this knife to be disassembled for maintenance.
To keep the fighter close at hand, a basswood sheath wrapped in goatskin leather is included.
Excellent work throughout!
