Description: Journeyman Smith John Parks creates an exceptional knife. Beginning with 5160 round bar, he hand forged this enticing hunter with an integral guard. This technique shows tremendous skill at the forge and creates a knife with superior integrity and strength.
The blade is differentially heat treated resulting in a long lasting edge with great durability. The antiqued blade features a hand rubbed satin finish, creating a true heirloom feel. A swedge travels along the spine from the tip to just in front of the bolster.
The mesquite burl handle fits perfectly to the integral bolster. The mid toned wood has an elegant, convoluted figure. Alternating red and black fiber spacers between the bolster and handle assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes.
Captivating for the eye and comfortable in the hand, this is a tremendous hunter that you won't want to put down! It is easy to keep close at hand using the hand stitched leather sheath.
