Description: Australian knifemaker Towball Weightman is a friend of Mastersmith Bill Burke. His work is exceptional and shows a tremendous amount of skill at the forge.
The ladder pattern damascus blade was forged from 15N20 and 1084 carbon steels. By forging close to shape, Towball ensures optimal edge holding. The controlled pattern immediately grabs attention.
The guard and ferrule are formed from satin finished 416 stainless steel. Black fiber spacers assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes.
The contoured handle is formed from a solid piece of curly black mulga wood (Acacia aneura). Black Mulga, also known as desert acacia is a tremendously hard and dramatic wood from Australia. The dark toned wood has a dramatic, curled figure. The handle is contoured for a secure, comfortable grip. It swells at the palm, moves into a slimmer waist and swells again at the end. The handle is extremely comfortable. This is a knife that you won't want to put down!
Exceptional work throughout!
