Description: Slicing knives are a perfect choice for precise cuts in the kitchen, effortlessly portioning roasts and other meats. The long, thin blade allows you to slice with one long stroke, instead of sliding the knife back and forth in a sawing motion. The result is a superior, clean cut.
This slicer is the work of Washington native, Dale Miller. Miller's attention to detail shines through the elegant kitchen knife. The long, slender blade is formed from high performing AEB-L stainless steel. Many knifemakers and metallurgists feel that AEB-L, with its small crystalline size, tremendous edge stability and toughness, is among the best stainless steels used in knifemaking today. Dale brought the steel to 60-61 Rockwell, ensuring a keen, long lasting edge.
The contoured handle is formed from Gabon ebony (Diospyros crassiflora) and set on a full tang. Red G-10 liners add contrast and assist the knife to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. This resilient wood holds up extremely well in the harsh environment of the kitchen. Brass pins and bolsters bring out warm tones in the natural wood. Like other kitchen knives, this knife should not be put in a dishwasher.
Exceptional work throughout.
