Description: Award winning Swedish knifemaker Henry Hildén created this exquisite sole authorship Nordic hunter. The fit and finish throughout is exceptional.
The san mai blade was forged from carbon steels. A 1770 carbon steel core is surrounded by intricate damascus (combining 1770, 15N20 and nickel). Hilden's grind lines nicely reveal the central core.
The handle combines presentation grade spalted elm wood with mammoth ivory. The cross-cut ivory shows off its inherent figure and provides tremendous contrast. Hand fileworked nickel silver and brass spacers provide a nice contrast. The handle is completed with a textured nickel silver end plate.
The knife is accompanied by a traditional Swedish leather sheath. The loop is sealed with a damascus pin.
Exceptional work throughout from one of the great Swedish knifemakers!
