Description: Award winning Swedish knifemaker Henry Hildén created this exquisite sole authorship Nordic hunter. The fit and finish throughout is exceptional.
The multi-bar composite damascus blade was forged from carbon steels. Explosion pattern edge and spine bars surrounded a twist pattern damascus central bar. Hilden's grind lines nicely reveal the intricacies of his damascus.
The handle combines dyed and stabilized masur birch with ironwood and crosscut mammoth ivory. By crosscutting the ancient ivory, Henry shows off its inherent figure and provides tremendous contrast. The right side of the handle is inlaid with a sterling silver moose, set against textured copper. Sterling silver spacers provide a nice contrast. The handle is completed with a carved mammoth ivory finial.
The knife is accompanied by a traditional Swedish leather sheath. The loop is sealed with a mammoth ivory pin.
Exceptional work throughout from one of the great Swedish knifemakers!
