Description: Trevor Burger is a second-generation knifemaker following in the steps of his father, Fred Burger. He has an eye for detail. His knives have exceptionally smooth action and clean, no-nonsense designs.
The LEXK was originally developed by Trevor's father in conjunction with Mike Skellern, and continues to be one of the most popular folders that he makes. The blade runs on bronze washers and has silky-smooth action. It is easily opened single-handed using the gent's front flipper. This mechanism is not designed to be flicked open, but instead is simply rotated out with the thumb or forefinger. The blade is perfectly centered.
The blade is formed from premium Bohler ELMAX stainless steel, with a Rockwell hardness of 60. A hand rubbed satin finish lends an heirloom quality to this knife. ELMAX provides the extreme edge retention, high strength, and toughness a hard-use knife demands. High wear resistance in a steel usually means low corrosion resistance, but not with ELMAX. With this advanced steel, you get both properties, which makes it an excellent steel for high end folders.
The handle is formed from carbon fiber. By using a single anodized titanium liner, Trevor is able to reduce both weight and thickness of the knife while maintaining strength and durability. A red fiber spacer brings in warm tones. The handle is completed with an anodized titanium pocket clip.
