Description: This Willem Steenkamp slip joint is a fantastic utility folder. The clip point blade and ergonomic handle are perfectly designed and implemented. The back pocket slip joint is a classic gentleman's folder. It is easy to keep close at hand, carried in the back pocket next to your wallet.
Willem was accepted as a member of the Knifemakers’ Guild of Southern Africa (KGSA) in May of 2007. His attention to detail is clearly evident in his knives.
The 3-1/2 inch blade is made from premium CPM154 stainless steel hardened to 59HRC with a satin finish. This powdered metallurgical steel has a particularly small grain structure, making it take an extremely keen edge and hold it! The blade is hollow ground for an easy to maintain edge.
The blade is well centered with a firm half stop -- easily opened with the right handed thumb nick.
The handle is made from rich toned burgundy Micarta. A stainless steel thong hole makes adding a lanyard easy. 303 stainless steel bolsters meet perfectly to the Micarta scales.
Exceptional work throughout!
