Description: Mastersmith Daniel Winkler created the Winkler II line in 2010. It is an alternate approach to an established tradition. Winkler Knives II is the result of processes Daniel Winkler developed over the past few years in order to provide axes and knives to teams within United States Army Special Operations and US Naval Special Warfare.
Winkler Knives and SIG SAUER collaborated to create this limited edition folder. Built with toughness in mind, this heavy duty folder will handle any task you can throw in its direction. This knife uses ball bearings ensuring a smooth, quick opening for when a few seconds makes all the difference. A low profile flipper tab offers one-handed operation without risking catching on things in the pocket.
The blade is formed from 80CrV2 carbon steel with a non-glare Caswell finish providing the toughness and edge retention needed in a hard-use folder. The action can be adjusted using the titanium pivot screw. The WK II touchmark is stamped on the spine while the SIG SAUER medallion is marked on the right side of the blade.
The scales are formed from black Micarta set on titanium liners for strength and durability. Barrel spacers keep the knife incredibly light while providing the strength and durability. A lanyard can easily be added if desired. The titanium pocket clip features the SIG SAUER logo and can be mounted for right or left-handed, tip-up carry.
Made in the USA.
