Description: The K-3 Flipper by Reate Knives moves away from classic designs and moves into a modern, eye catching folder. The ergonomic handle, flawless inlays, and unique grinds are sure to impress even the most avid knife enthusiasts.
Reate Knives designs and builds its high quality knives with immaculate fit and finish. The founder of Reate, David Deng, is a long time knife enthusiast with a background in mechanical design and manufacturing. Reate uses only the best blade steels gathered from around the world and never compromises on materials. Reate is changing the way the industry looks at knives made in China.
This K-3 Flipper features a satin finished tanto blade made from premium Carpenter CTS-204P. The unique combination of wear resistance, toughness, polishability, and corrosion resistance makes CTS 204P stainless steel an excellent candidate for high-performance industrial and custom knives. The excellent wear resistance of the alloy is provided by hard vanadium-rich carbides, while the alloy's outstanding corrosion resistance is obtained as a result of the chromium-rich matrix. The application of Carpenter's Micro-Melt PM processing creates a segregation-free and homogeneously fine carbide and grain size distribution. The use of molten metal filtration results in improved cleanliness and toughness compared to conventionally processed material. A deep groove with holes drilled artistically travels along the blade.
The ergonomic, machined titanium handle has a sturdy frame lock and a bead blasted finish. Moku-ti is flawlessly inlaid into both sides of the titanium scales. Similar to the technique used to forge damascus, Moku-ti is created by forging multiple layers of titanium. The different grade of titanium anodize to a different color, bringing out the pattern. The handle was milled and chamfered to ensure a comfortable grip. The backbar is notched and slotted to aid in pulling the folder from the pocket. The titanium pocketclip with ceramic ball is mounted for right-handed, tip-up carry.
Each knife comes with a zipper storage pouch, a small pocket pouch, a Reate patch, and a cleaning cloth.
