Description: Terry Davis is a traditional sole authorship knifemaker who specialized in slip joints knives. His knives are very rare due to low production and the fact that very few people are willing to part with his knives once they have them! This slip joint has been in a private collection since it was made back in 2008. It is in new condition and by all appearances, Davis could have made it yesterday.
The blade is made from American made CPM-154 stainless steel with a hand rubbed satin finish. This powdered metallurgical steel has a particularly small grain structure, making it take an extremely keen edge and hold it! The action is smooth with a firm half stop. A long thumb nick makes it easy to open and close the blade.
The handle is made from ram's horn scales secured on a stainless frame using pins. The natural texture of the ram's horn provides a sure, comfortable grip. Integral front and rear bolsters impart perfect balance when in hand. A stainless steel escutcheon is expertly inlaid into the left side of the ram's horn.
Excellent fit and finish throughout!
