Description: Patrick Doyle's interest in knives began at the age of 10. Around that time, he received Bob Loveless' masterpiece How to make Knives." His fascination with knives continued to grow as he aged, developing a refined sense of design and skills. This Corsair shows his work at its best.
The blade is formed from Carpenter's premium CTS-XHP stainless steel. This US made steel is a new air hardening, high carbon, high chromium, corrosion resistant alloy. The hollow ground primary bevel and swedge are stonewashed. The flats are satin finished. The blade is easily opened using the ambidextrous thumb hole. It has consistent, smooth action and is perfectly centered.
The handle combines carbon fiber bolsters with Richlite. Richlite is an incredibly durable material made from resin-infused paper. Richlite's signature mottled appearance and warmth nicely complements the carbon fiber bolsters. By dovetailing the bolsters, Doyle ensures a perfect, seamless fit. The titanium liners, backspacer, and pocket clip are anodized. The pocket clip is mounted for right-handed, tip-up carry.
Exceptional work throughout!
