Description: Mastersmith Rick Dunkerley's knives are unique and immediately identifiable. From artistry of design to skill of implementation, Rick's knives always command attention. Dunkerley creates folders with some of the smoothest action to be found anywhere. The perfectly center blade is easily opened using the right handed thumb stud. A faceted diamond is set in the thumb stud.
The mosaic damascus blade and bolsters were forged by Rick from 1080 and 15N20 carbon steels. The explosion pattern is intricate, drawing attention from a distance and holding it upon closer examination.
Large presentation grade whitelip mother of pearl scales are set on heat blued 15N20 liners. Both the scales and the bolsters are hand carved and textured -- providing both a dramatic appearance and tremendous tactile feel in the hand. Screws throughout are textured d and heat colored. Dovetailing ensures a perfect fit between bolsters and scales. 15N20 carbon steel liners are hand fileworked and heat colored. The backbar is fileworked and textured, both inside and out.
Mastersmith Rick Dunkerley has a tremendous level of precision and as you would expect, the fit and finish is exceptional!
