Description: Mastersmith Jerry Lairson's work is exceptional. His designs are elegant, sturdy, and high performing - in fact, Jerry himself is often surprised at what his clients tell him they've done with his knives!
By forging his blade to shape, Lairson ensures the already tough steel forms an optimal grain structure. The polished edge is razor sharp and the finish graduates to a satin finish. The convex ground blade will be extremely high performing.
Handle scales are formed from a pinecone that has been suspended in resin and ground to shape. The resulting handles are both very stable and exceptionally dramatic. By distal tapering the tang and blade, Jerry ensures a perfect balance. The contours of the handle and jimping on the spine provide a comfortable grip and a knife that functions like an extension of your hand.
The Pine Creek Hunter is accompanied by a hand stitched pouch style leather sheath.
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
