Description: This elegant damascus EDC knife was forged by Mastersmith Ray Kirk of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, a Citizen of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma.
The blade was forged to shape from his own damascus, beginning with 52100 and 15N20 carbon steels. The pattern is clear and shows Ray's clean crisp grind lines. The left size is marked with “RakeR” with the “MS” mark. The blade is distal tapered for a perfect balance.
Ancient wooly mammoth ivory scales are set on the substantial full tang. The colors in the mammoth ivory are introduced from minerals in the surrounding soil where the knife was buried for millennia. Green toned mammoth ivory is particularly rare and desirable. The three finger design provides a sure, comfortable grip.
The knife is accompanied by a hand stitched leather belt sheath. It is set for sideways carry. Nice work throughout!
