Description: Captain Koyama's designs are truly innovative. He designs and develops his knives with unique locking mechanisms that immediately capture the imagination. This one features an opening mechanism controlled by the push button. The blade is easily opened using the file worked titanium thumb stud. To close the blade, the button above the pivot is pressed. Koyama-san calls this mechanism a Pool-Lock.
The damascus blade is formed from Devin Thomas basketweave pattern damascus. Devin's steel is high contrast and hold a keen, long lasting edge.
Warm toned presentation grade desert ironwood scales are set on anodized titanium liners. Ladder pattern damascus bolsters nicely complement the wood. A carbon fiber backbar keeps the knife light and durable. A heat colored titanium pocket clip is mounted for tip-down, right-handed carry.
Nice work throughout on a very creative knife!
