Description: Captain Koyama's designs are truly innovative. He designs and develops his knives with unique locking mechanisms that immediately capture the imagination. This one features an opening mechanism controlled by the push button. The blade is easily opened using the flipper tab. Koyama ensures smooth action by running the blade on ball bearings. To close the blade, the button above the flipper tab is pressed. Koyama-san calls this mechanism a Pool-Lock.
The damascus blade is formed from stainless steels forged around a VG10 stainless steel core. This combination provides exceptional edge holding, beauty, and durability.
Large weave carbon fiber scales are set on anodized titanium liners. Anodized titanium 'bolsters' add a nice accent. A carbon fiber backbar keeps the knife light and durable. An anodized titanium pocket clip is mounted for right handed, tip-up carry.
Nice work throughout on a very creative knife!
