Description: From renowned Canadian knifemaker Brian Tighe comes this distinctive button lock flipper. This Tighe Fighter Tanto features a frame machined from copper with a san mai stainless steel blade. The core of the blade is ultra-high performing S90V stainless steel.
CPM-S90V is a excellent high-end, American-made, powdered metallurgical steel with a uniform micro-structure. The high carbon content combines with vanadium to form vanadium carbides, providing incredible wear resistance while leaving the chromium free to provide a high level of corrosion resistance. The blade features a nightmare grind, The S90V is bead blasted, the bevel of the CM154 is polished and the flats are satin finished. The action is super-smooth and the blade well centered.
The copper frame is contoured and carved. The interior is hollowed to keep the weight down. A black G-10 backbar gives nice contrast. The titanium pocket clip is mounted for tip-up, right-handed carry. Dual titanium thumb studs make for easy right or left handed opening -- though you'll likely open the knife using the flipper mechanism. The blade is unlocked with a right handed button lock.
Exceptional work throughout.
