Description: Journeyman Smith Josh Fisher is clearly an up and coming maker to watch. As such, it is no surprise that he won Best Utility/Hunter at the 2016 Blade Show in Atlanta. At any show, winning such an award is an honor. Winning this award at Blade is truly momentous. The clip point bowie is an exceptional example of his work.
Josh began by hand forging the blade from 1084 carbon steel. The 7-1/2 inch blade was meticulously hand satin finished for an heirloom appearance.
The guard and spacer are formed from 416 stainless steel. Presentation grade red oak provides an elegant handle. The handle is carved to swell at the palm, move into a thinner waist, and swell again at the end.
The knife is accompanied by a hand stitched leather sheath.
Exceptional work throughout!
