Description: Alaskan knifemaker, Master Smith Adam DesRosiers is well known for his elegant, hard working knives.
He began forging this integral hunter/utility beginning with W2 carbon steel. By forging closely to shape, Adam ensures optimal grain structure for a keen, long lasting edge. The swedge pulls weight out of the blade. The recurve blade shape provides particularly efficient cutting action. The bolster is fully integral to the blade. This technique, a hallmark of Adam's work, has superior structural integrity and requires a particularly talented smith.
The handle is formed from presentation grade curly koa. It is nicely sculpted for a secure, comfortable grip. The stabilized wood will hold up beautifully to hard use, though this knife would feel at home in most any collection.
Excellent work throughout!
