Description: Chris Owen is a maker that is well worth watching. He has a tremendous sense of design, which is only matched by his skill in the forge. This Bill Moran inspired utility knife shows his skill and craftsmanship at its best.
The blade was hand forged to shape, beginning with L6 carbon steel. A differential heat treatment ensures a keen, long lasting edge with a soft, supportive spine. The spine is nicely rounded.
The curly maple handle was nicely carved for a very comfortable, secure grip. Fine silver vines are inlaid into the wood and culminate in green dyed leaves. A 'bolster' is formed from side cut stag.
The knife is accompanied by a leather wrapped, wooden sheath with an elephant leather upper. Excellent work throughout!
