Description: Ernest Emerson is a pioneer in both custom and production knives. Due to the popular demand for his customs by civilians and members of the armed forces alike, the wait list for one of his handmade knives grew exponentially. In 1996 Emerson Knives, Inc. was founded. In every major theater of operation the US is deployed in -- "on or off the books" -- an Emerson knife has been used, and used hard. Ernest Emerson prides himself on making a 100% American-made product that will serve its owner for a lifetime.
The karambit is originally from the Indonesian archipelago and has found its way throughout South East Asia. Primarily used in the ancient world as a do-it-all knife, modern renditions of this versatile tool have steadily gained popularity and respect within the tactical world. The dramatic shape, finger hole and exotic manipulation has captivated collectors, martial blade practitioners, and knife enthusiasts alike.
The Emerson Folding Super Karambit features the patented "wave shaped feature", and was designed so that it could be held in either a forward or a reverse grip with no compromise of grip strength or comfort in either position. Whether you have your little finger through the handle hole or your index finger through the hole you have a knife that works extremely well in either grip. Emerson's expert engineering and mastery of ergonomics has solved this inherent problem perfectly.
In addition to working flawlessly when used with a finger through the handle hole, the knife works equally as well when the knife is held in either a forward or reverse grip with no finger inserted through the handle hole. Once again the precise ergonomics allow you to use the knife comfortably and strongly without using your finger through the hole in the handle. The pocket clip can be set for left- or right-hand tip up carry. As deadly today as in the ancient world, the Emerson folding Super Karambit packs a whole lot of fury in a small package.
Features:
* Titanium liner lock
* Black pocket clip, right handed, tip up carry
* Wave opening mechanism for quick, single handed deployment
* Ambidextrous thumb hole
* Made in USA
