Description: Bob Beaty's work is always a pleasure to hold. This elegant skinner shows off his work at its best.
The sturdy D2 tool steel blade will have exceptional edge holding. It is quite hard - 60-62 Hrc and features a deep cryogenic quench for grain refinement. Both blade and tang are distal tapered for especially good balance.
Elk antler scales provide a sure, comfortable grip. Stabilized maple spacers add nice contrast. Mosaic pins secure the scales in place. Red fiber spacers assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes.
This is a knife that will be equally at home in a collection as out in the field. Excellent work throughout!
