Description: David Broadwell is well known for his attention to detail and the flowing lines of his carved blades. This exceptional carved fighter has been in a private collection since it was first made. It has been meticulously cared for and is in new condition. By all appearances, David could have made it yesterday.
The long, clip point blade is formed from damascus forged from carbon steels. Recessed mammoth ivory scales are set on the full tang. The spine and tang are both hand fileworked. The ricasso and end of the tang are pierced, creating dramatic, perfect tie-points for a lanyard. The bolster is formed from textured nickel silver and meets perfectly with the mammoth ivory scales. The scales are well matched from side to side.
Exceptional work throughout.
