Description: Knives by National Living Treasure and Master Bladesmith Jerry Fisk are quite hard to obtain, considering his substantial wait list. This one has been in a private collection and has been meticulously cared for. It is in new condition and by all appearances could have been made yesterday.
This Sendero is an exceptional hunter. The blade was forged to shape from 5160 carbon steel. A differential heat treatment results in a hard, long lasting edge and softer, supportive spine. A hand rubbed satin finish lends an heirloom quality. The blade is stamped "Fisk/ MS" (Master Smith) on the left ricasso. The stainless steel bolsters are satin finished and meet perfectly with the presentation grade Arizona desert ironwood mortised tang scales. A distal tapered blade ensures perfect balance. Filework on the spine provides thumb purchase.
Excellent work throughout!
