Description: Award winning Swedish bladesmith Henry Hildén held nothing back when he created this Damascus Hunter. Henry is an extremely accomplished Swedish knifemaker, forging damascus that clearly sets him as one of the greatest makers anywhere. His knives are quite traditional in their approach, striving for excellent fit and finish, as well as performance.
Twisted pattern Damascus is surrounded by bold firecracker pattern spine and edge -- all forged to shape from 1770 and 15N20 carbon steels for exceptional edge retention. The patterns are extremely clear and show tremendous control and skill.
The handle is formed from cross cut mammoth ivory surrounded by damascus. The ivory is spectacular, with the inherent figure interior to the tusk, incorporating cream and caramel tones. The guard and spacer are formed from two separate bars of firecracker and twist damascus that is separated by fine sterling silver file worked spacers. The pommel is formed from two sections of firecracker damascus with a mosaic damascus butt cap.
Exceptional fit and finish throughout!
The knife is accompanied by a hand tooled Swedish rawhide sheath.
