Description: South African knifemaker George Muller is well known for creating exceptional knives with exotic materials.
The swayback blade is formed from high performing damascus by Damasteel, Sweden. The bolsters are formed from Doug Ponzio mosaic damascus and depict a detailed spider laying in wait in its web.
Siberian mammoth ivory scales are well matched in caramel and chocolate tones. Red fiber spacers assist the scales to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. Anodized titanium liners keep the knife light and strong and are set off by the Damasteel back bar.
The blade is nicely centered and easily opened with one hand using the ambidextrous flipper toggle. The blade uses the IKBS (Ikoma Korth Bearing System) pivot system. This mechanism, which was originally designed to fit balisong knives, uses ball bearings to create exceptional action with no blade play. A titanium pocket clip is mounted for tip up carry.
A gorgeous piece -- perfect to use and comfortable in any collection.
