Description: Rick Eaton is well known for his fantastic attention to detail, frequently making knives that sell for 10s of thousands of dollars. While this folder is simpler than many of his highly engraved masterpieces, he put every bit of his attention the precision work throughout!
The blade is a two bar composite -- both forged by him from carbon steel. The bolsters are mosaic damascus and show tremendous skill at the forge. The bolsters meet with mammoth ivory scales in a complex puzzle piece. The scales sport very rare blue/grey tones in the ivory. Both the 15N20 carbon steel liners and the screws have been heat colored for contrast. The damascus back spacer is fileworked in a twisted rope pattern. As you would expect, the blade has smooth action and is perfectly centered.
