Description: Handmade by Journeyman Smith Jim Arbuckle, this knife is an exceptional carving knife or meat slicer. It is literally one-of-a-kind and immediately grabs attention. The long, slender blade is perfect for carving poultry, ham, and roasts. This is a knife that is sure to highlight the table at a holiday dinner!
The blade is made from 154CM stainless steel and was given an heirloom quality hand-rubbed satin finish. It was hardened and double tempered to Rc 58-59 for excellent edge retention. The smooth, slightly rounded spine moves into a serpentine fileworked tang.
The handle is formed from snakewood sycamore. This tightly striated wood has a nice mix of light and dark tones and is immediately captivating. The wood is carved to swell at the palm for a secure, comfortable grip. It utilizes a very deep choil (cut-out) for the forefinger to rest in. This makes the knife easy to hold onto even with slippery hands. The handle offers several different grip options and is perfect for extended use.
Excellent fit and finish throughout!
