Description: Stripes is a light weight, well balanced Swedish Hunter in the tradition of Connie Pederson and Roger Bergh.
The dramatic blade was forged to shape by renowned Danish knifemaker Poul Strande. It is an 80 layer linear damascus. The blade has a bitey edge and a Scandi grind ensures easy sharpening and precision cuts.
The Mexican bocote wood handle's linear grain mates nicely with damascus. Fine silver spacers and a nickel silver blade guard add nice contrast. The handle is nicely carved for a sure, comfortable grip, yet thin enough not to get in the way. This is a knife you'll have a hard time putting down.
The linear theme is completed with a California walnut half wood/ leather snap sheath with an end grain bocote wood accent outlined in fine silver. The knife is held securely in the sheath without the use of fasteners, yet will pull out of the sheath with just a slight tug on the handle. The hanger style sheath won't poke you while hiking, sitting or riding.
Sturdily built with an heirloom quality feel and appearance, "Stripes" would be equally at home in the field as on display in a collection.
