Description: Journeyman Smith Jim Arbuckle created this exceptional stainless steel hunter. A hand rubbed satin finish lends an heirloom quality. The 154 CM stainless steel blade is hardened and triple tempered to 58-59 Hrc -- for a nice balance between edge holding and durability. The blade is distal tapered to reduce weight and improve balance.
The handle is formed from spalted maple. This stabilized wood ensures the knife will hold up well to the demands of being used outdoors, yet will feel at home in most any collection. A deep choil provides a comfortable rest for your forefinger to rest in. This offers several different grip options and makes the knife easy to hold onto even with slippery hands. The knife is accompanied by a hand tooled leather sheath. Excellent work throughout!
