Description: This exceptional bowie knife is the work of Mastersmith David Anders who is well known for his precision and dramatic style. Bowies and large fighters are a hallmark of his style. His work is immediately recognizable for its perfect shapes and well thought through designs.
The clip point blade was forged to shape from David's own high layer count random pattern damascus. David created the damascus by combining 1084 and 15N20 carbon steels along with pure nickel for particularly high contrast. The pattern is immediately captivating. The 9.8 inch blade features a long swedge.
The handle is formed from ancient walrus ivory. The ivory is particularly dramatic and combines blue, chocolate, and cream tones. Ivory with this coloration and intensity is particularly rare. Fittings are formed from 416 stainless steel. These have been meticulously hand fileworked. A walrus ivory spacer at the front of the handle is extremely elegant. The knife is accompanied by a Kenny Rowe custom leather sheath with hand tooling.
Exceptional work throughout!
