Description: This folding knife was made by South African knifemaker Herucus Blomerus. A resident of Pretoria, Herucus (pronounced 'eh-roo-koos') has been a proud member of the South African Knifemakers Guild since 2005.
The stainless raindrop pattern damascus blade is high contrast and immediately captivating. This steel is as high performance as it is beautiful! The blade is easily opened with a simple flick of the flipper mechanism. The blade is well centered and has silky smooth action, due to the IKBS (Ikoma Korth Bearing System) pivot system. This mechanism, which was originally designed to fit balisong knives, uses ball bearings to create smooth action with no blade play.
Carbon fiber scales are set on anodized, hand fileworked titanium liners. Stainless steel back spacer.
This folder is a classy and refined piece, yet a rugged and strong. It will be easy to keep it close at hand using the titanium pocket clip mounted for tip-up carry. Herucus is clearly a maker to keep an eye out for - exceptional fit and finish throughout!
