Description: This is an exceptional S-Guard Bowie was created by Journeyman Smith Chuck Richards.
The 6-1/2 inch long clip point blade was hand forged to shape from his own Ws pattern damascus. He began the intricate damascus by forging together bars of 15N20 and 5160 carbon steel.
The handle is formed from redwood burl. This particular piece of wood is exceptional, with a swirling figure resembling rivulets of water diverted around stones in a river. The S guard and spacer are formed from antique wrought iron. It is heat blued and forms an excellent contrast to stainless steel and silicon bronze spacers.
Excellent work throughout!
