Description: This is a special fighter! Swedish bladesmith Michael Andersson is a force to be reckoned with. His style is immediately identifiable and is very dramatic. Micke is one of the few Swedish makers to make large, impressive knives such as this.

Micke forged the blade from 20C and 15N20 carbon steels into a controlled, high contrast twist. The blade is hollow ground for an easy to maintain edge. The pattern is both captivating from a distance and upon closer examination.
The sheath and handle are each made from reindeer antler and desert ironwood. Sami engraving on both sides of the handle and sheath were made by Jonas Sandstrom. Though at first appearance, the engraving may appear to be simple scrimshaw, Sami engraving is accomplished by carving the reindeer antler and rubbing traditional ink into lower areas. The engraving on the antler alone took over 80 hours. A stainless steel spacer travels around the sheath. Micke meticulously engraved this in a running wheat pattern. The stainless steel bolster is also engraved by Micke in European Florets. The combination of the detailed knot work engraving on reindeer antler, engraving in metal, and the warm toned desert ironwood produces a particularly captivating effect.
Exceptional work throughout!
