Description: Mike Ball is a protégé of Jim Luman, renowned knifemaker and damascus maker. His designs are well thought out and feel excellent in the hand.
The blade has a tremendously dramatic damascus pattern created by forging chainsaw chain and 1084 carbon steel. The pattern nicely complements the figure in the stabilized black palm wood and damascus front and rear guards.
The black palm handle, which swells gently at the palm, is nicely formed for a comfortable, secure grip. Copper accents bring in warm tones and highlight lighter colors in the black palm wood. Damascus fittings surround the nicely sculpted wood. Nice work throughout!
