Description: South African knifemaker George Muller is well known for creating exceptional knives with exotic materials.
The clip point blade is formed from Bjorkman's Twist stainless damascus from Sweden. The pattern is immediately captivating - both from a distance and upon closer examination. The blade is perfectly centered and silky smooth -- easily opened with one hand using the ambidextrous flipper toggle. The blade uses the IKBS (Ikoma Korth Bearing System) pivot system. This mechanism, which was originally designed to fit balisong knives, uses ball bearings to create exceptional action with no blade play. As an added touch of quality and flair, George has embedded two small rubies in the flipper.
Mammoth molar scales from Alaska are well matched in burnt cream, white, and merlot tones. Damascus bolsters are dovetailed to the scales for a perfect fit and have been heat blued. Anodized titanium liners keep the knife light and strong and surround a stainless steel backbar. A damascus clip is mounted for right hand, tip up carry, and also has a faceted ruby inlaid into it.
A gorgeous piece -- perfect to use and comfortable in any collection.
