Description: Anders's work is highly valued by collectors worldwide - he consistently creates pieces with some of the tightest tolerances of any maker, anywhere. A recurrent theme in his work is his inspired fusion of Japanese and Nordic styles, creating knives that are bold, elegant, and truly unique.
This knife is a particularly captivating dagger. The hamon (temper lines) created by Anders' clay heat treatment process results in a knife that has excellent edge retention, while also having the support of a softer central core. Anders adds to the visual interest of the piece by shaping the blade and bolster with asymmetrical grind lines.
The handle is formed from ancient woolly mammoth bone. The osteon in the bone has taken on stunning hues of green and caramel. The bolster is formed from antiqued sterling silver, and is separated from the handle by a copper liners and a walrus ivory spacer. A single stainless steel and copper pin echoes with the familiarity of the bolster.
The dagger is accompanied by a traditional Nordic hand tooled leather sheath. Exceptional fit and finish throughout!
