Description: Todd Begg found inspiration regarding knifemaking in Jimmy Lyle, and after some time in the military he began making his own knives and fulfilling a childhood passion. He has won numerous awards and has garnered his own reality TV series on The Discovery Channel!
This is Todd Begg's new Bodega folding knife. It introduces an innovative replaceable lockbar (Patent Pending) that not only allows you to replace the lockbar if there is a problem, it also is designed to completely eliminate any over travel or compression problems.
The handle is comprised of a titanium frame lock and a slab of blue G10. Between these materials, this knife has a light, fast feel. The design of a "sunburst" has been cut into both sides of the G10, and not only offers an attractive and unique appearance, but also a sure grip. The pocket clip has a rather large ball bearing that functions well as a clip and is easy on your pocket.
Todd uses Bohler N690 blade steel, a stainless super-steel created by Bohler in Austria. It takes an incredibly sharp edge and holds on to it. The increased toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping. The blade uses the IKBS (Ikoma Korth Bearing System) pivot system. This mechanism, which was originally designed to fit balisong knives, uses ball bearings to create exceptional action with no blade play. This Bodega has a saber grind to the blade.
Excellent work throughout!
