Description: This exceptional bowie is a collaboration between Mastersmiths David and Jerome Anders, a father and son who are well respected makers in each of their own rights, but have teamed up to create this piece. They are well known for their precision and dramatic styles.
Mammoth Bark Bowie features damascus forged from 15N20 and 1080 carbon steel. Bold swaths of contrasting 15N20 move across a complex damascus background, resulting in a blade that is both dramatic up close and from a distance.
The handle is formed from ancient mammoth bark ivory with escutcheons and hand domed pins. The mammoth ivory combines caramel and burnt cream tones. Mammoth scales are inlaid into the frame. The damascus end of the handle is hand fluted. The guard is formed from matching damascus.
The knife is marked with David and Jerome's marks. It is accompanied by a hand tooled pouch style leather sheath. Exceptional work throughout!
