Description: Mastersmith Tommy Gann makes an incredible knife. Both his sense of design and his skill of implementation are exemplary. This spectacular fighter was kept in a private collection since it was made in 2013. It is in brand new condition. By all appearances, Tommy could have made it yesterday.
The clip point blade was forged to shape from 52100 carbon steel -- a steel that many knifemakers and users feel to be the best carbon steel for edge holding. A hand rubbed satin finish creates an elegant, heirloom quality. A distal taper ensures perfect balance. Tommy's mark is on the left side of the blade and his M.S. mark on the right side.
The ebony handle is straight fluted by hand to provide a very pleasing appearance and feel. The gun-blued stainless steel hilt and pommel complement the ebony handle nicely. This is a knife you'll have to hold to truly appreciate!
Accompanied by a particularly dramatic hand-tooled black leather sheath by Bob's Saddleshop. The hand tooling nicely complements the fluted handle.
Absolutely exceptional!
