Description: South African knifemaker George Muller continues to create exceptional knives with unique materials! This piece particularly gorgeous.
The hollow ground, distal tapered blade is formed from Heimskringla pattern stainless damascus forged by Damasteel. The hollow grind is evident in the changing patterns of the damascus.
Ancient wooly mammoth molar provides the material for the scales, which incorporate blues, caramels, and ivory tones. This is some of the most dramatic mammoth molar that I have encountered. These eye-catching scales dovetail to bolsters formed from matching Damasteel. Titanium liners are anodized to a light cornflower blue and sandwich a matching damascus backbar. Fine screws retaining the scales and bolsters are gold plated.
The knife is easy to keep close at hand in the cape buffalo hide belt pouch. A memorable and beautiful piece!
