Description: This is a striking piece! A gorgeous push dagger, with a two-tone mirror polished and satin blade. The handle is formed from a black impala horn, with just the right curvature to fit perfectly in the palm of your hand. The ends of the impala are covered with intricate, random metalwork, resembling a knot work of roots.
This push dagger was created by Patrick Donovan, who is now deceased. Patrick created it back in 1989 and is quite a find! It has been in a private collection and has been meticulously cared for. By all appearances, it could have been made yesterday.
The flat of the blade is marked with Donovan's mark, Patrick, set in cursive, his traditional signature. The grinds were meticulously mirror polished, while the flat is satin finished. This piece is accompanied by a nickel silver sheath with polished sides and satin finished faces. A functional, metal "door knocker" in the shape of a lion adorns one side. The sheath is lined with black leather for a perfect fit. The set has a medieval, yet refined, feel to it. A very unique item for carry or display.
Excellent fit and finish throughout!
