Description: The Ishi point was demonstrated to anthropologists in 1911 by the "last wild Indian" in California. It is the "Holy Grail" of pressure knapping. Once a knapper can master the elegant shape, thinness, and expanded notches, he can make any kind of pressure knapped stone tool.
Here, Tom has hand carved this Ishi Point in grade 2 titanium with an antiqued copper arrow shaft. A silver rivet sets the Point in the copper. The pendant is completed in Tom's signature "knapped steel" style. The carving depicts exquisitely detailed knapping lines in the titanium and is very true to form.
The pendant itself measures approximately 2 1/4" long and 3/4" at the widest point, and is accompanied by a leather neck cord with sterling silver fittings measuring 18 inches. Exceptional fit and finish throughout!
